We have developed the Magellan 16 mm model to ensure full compatibility with scraper robots. Magellan series: flexible and non-slip floors

The Magellan flooring series is designed to match the natural physiology of cows whose feet have adapted to soft ground. Standing and walking on hard surfaces is unnatural and can lead to trauma, locomotion disorders, and excessive hoof growth, especially in first-calf heifers that are less genetically predisposed to developing strong hooves.

Thanks to its flexible structure and drainage grooves, Magellan flooring ensures continuous drainage of liquids while preventing lesions that cause hoof diseases. Result: A drier, less slippery surface, reducing the risk of falls and injuries.

By reducing ground-related stress, cows move more confidently, stay healthier and realize their full production potential. Studies show that in a farm using Magellan, an extra lactation can be gained per 100 cows and fertility is increased.

At the same time, the overall hygiene of the farm is strengthened; the spread of bacteria that cause skin lesions such as Mortellaro Disease or "cherry" disease is limited, and animals with wounds on their feet are protected.

Magellan® 16: The solution for manure robots

To support the increasing use of automatic manure removal robots and to meet the needs of farms using these systems, we have developed a thinner version of our drained rubber flooring, Magellan® 25: Magellan® 16.

This 16 mm thick flooring maintains the key benefits of Magellan while ensuring full compatibility with scraper robots. Its longitudinal grooved profile is perfectly cleaned by the special brushes that can be attached to the robot.

Hard and concrete floors disrupt this natural adaptation, causing discomforts such as chronic inflammation of the distal phalanx, bone spurs, or sole ulcers.
Magellan® flooring mimics the characteristics of natural ground by providing a flexible and cushioning surface. By increasing the contact area with the ground, it allows for better weight distribution across the entire hoof, reducing pressure points that cause injuries in the inner parts of the foot.
