According to CGV
Cows' feet are adapted to soft ground. Walking and standing on hard ground is unnatural and generates trauma, dysfunction and excessive horn growth.
These traumas are accentuated in primiparous cows, which are not genetically "equipped" to make good foot pads.
Magellan® flexible flooring prevents injuries that can lead to foot pathologies.
Thanks to grooves that allow continuous drainage of liquids, Magellan remains dry on the surface.
This reduces the risk of slips and associated injuries.
Stable hygiene is also improved, which reduces the proliferation of bacteria responsible for foot pathologies such as dermatitis, "Mortellaro" or cherry, on animals with a skin lesion on the foot.
Thanks to the Magellan mat, cows are freed from the stress associated with the risk of slipping and are naturally more confident.
They are also healthier, avoiding foot pathologies.
Cows give 100% of their potential and are naturally more fertile, enabling you to stabilize production performance.
As a result, for every 100 cows, there is an average of one more lactation.

Lameness is on the increase in dairy herds. Taking account of lameness in selection criteria, early detection and soil type are ways of reducing the frequency of these pathologies.
Concrete floors in traffic corridors, often damp and slippery, are an ideal breeding ground for the bacteria responsible for digital dermatitis. Designed by Bioret Agri, Magellan is a draining coating
Over time, the acidity of the silage causes the concrete in the troughs to deteriorate. Cleaning becomes more difficult, and cleanliness is no longer guaranteed. The trough itself can become a source of contamination.
Bioret Agri develops equipment designed for the well-being of dairy cows, with solutions for lying down, moving around and thermal comfort.
