The Magellan® mat is the first active draining rubber flooring, specially designed for dairy cow traffic lanes. This innovation improves both the comfort and safety of animal movement, while providing real health benefits thanks to its drainage grooves.

The Magellan® 25 mat, made of 25 mm thick draining rubber, is specifically designed for high-traffic areas: walkways, waiting areas, milking parlors, or access points to robots.

Its deep longitudinal grooves ensure effective drainage, keeping the hooves elevated above stagnant liquids. This design limits moisture on the ground, reducing the risk of foot diseases such as digital dermatitis (Mortellaro), whitlow, interdigital phlegmon, or sole ulcers. It helps to limit lameness and prevent premature culling. Pebbles slide between the grooves, preventing micro-lesions and preserving the sole of the foot.

The efficient drainage of the Magellan also contributes to a significant reduction in ammonia emissions (up to -40%)*, improving air quality and overall building hygiene.

Comfortable thanks to its flexibility in natural rubber, the Magellan helps preserve joints during frequent movements. Its non-slip surface, adapted to the morphology of the hooves, enhances safety and reduces slips, even on wet ground.

Compatible with straight and semi-straight scrapers, the Magellan 25 is easy to install without modifying existing equipment, and allows for simple and effective maintenance.

The cow's hooves have been shaped by evolution to walk on soft, loose, vegetation-covered ground.
Hard, concrete floors disrupt this natural adaptation, causing problems such as chronic inflammation of the distal phalanx, the formation of bony growths, or sole ulcers.
Magellan® flooring replicates the qualities of natural ground by providing a flexible and cushioning surface. It increases the contact area with the ground, allowing for better weight distribution across the entire hoof, and reduces pressure points that cause internal foot lesions.
