Multiple benefits for both the cow and the farmer
V-Twin: an innovative flooring for effluent collection and cow safety
The V-Twin flooring is a high-performance solution for traffic lanes in cattle farms, designed to effectively collect liquid effluents while improving the safety and health of cows.
The system is based on an ingenious structure: honeycomb-shaped pieces made of lightweight plastic are placed on the existing concrete and form a 3% slope towards two integrated channels. This inclination promotes the rapid flow of urine and liquids towards the grooves, limiting their stagnation and thus reducing the risk of foot diseases.
A non-slip rubber coating is unrolled along the entire length of the corridor, ensuring optimal grip for the animals. The result: fewer falls, fewer injuries, and increased movement comfort for dairy cows.
V-Twin: An effective solution for reducing ammonia emissions and preserving hoof health
In addition to improving animal welfare, the V-Twin flooring offers a strong environmental benefit: it allows for a reduction in ammonia emissions of up to 45%. Indeed, as urine is quickly directed away from the traffic area, hooves stay drier, which limits infections and prolongs the hoof health of herds.
- improving effluent management in livestock buildings,
- reducing emissions of harmful gases (ammonia),
- securing animal movement,
- optimize cow comfort and productivity.
