Zen’eat and Sani Feed are two complementary products developed by Bioret Agri to improve the feeding conditions of dairy cows. Their installation achieves three objectives in one go: optimize ingestion, reduce competition, and maintain optimal hygiene, benefiting milk production and animal welfare.
Feeding at the trough without being disturbed is essential for the dairy herd. Good ingestion conditions production, and Zen’eat offers an appropriate solution for this. Simple, but very effective, this installation improves feed intake through numerous aspects. What is the concept? Zen’eat is a separation of the feeding area, elevated, slightly inclined, coupled with flexible dividers. The step is installed along the headlocks. At the foot of these are fixed short, flexible plastic bars. Positioned every two cows, these dividers (called Divi’zen) reduce dominant-dominated relationships and thus avoid conflicts during meals. The device also allows the cow to straighten up for an optimal ingestion position.
A peaceful meal thanks to Zen’eat
By eliminating the sources of stress related to feed competition, Zen’eat allows cows to eat quietly and make better use of their ration. Thanks to a dedicated space without disturbances (the dividers also prevent cows from running on the step or lying across it), ingestion occurs in complete serenity. There are no more interruptions, which at the same time promotes complete ration intake.
The space allocated to each pair of cows, more restricted, and the inclination of the step also contribute to straightening the animals. These are then positioned in the ideal axis when they feed. Separating the scraping area and the feeding area also prevents the cows from being bothered by the passage of the scraper, while the droppings do not soil the step, the length of which has been calculated accordingly.
The rubber that covers it also makes it easy to maintain, exactly in the same way as a row of stalls. Non-slip, this coating also limits the risk of slipping. A comfortable feeding area, designed to allow cows to be more serene and ingest more… and for the farmer to increase the performance of their herd.
Sani’feed, a PVC trough cover
An ideal complement to Zen’eat on the other side of the headlocks, Sani feed is a PVC trough cover that guarantees optimal hygiene. Its smooth surface prevents the proliferation of bacteria and facilitates cleaning. It also improves ingestion, as a clean and fresh ration is always more palatable. The result is quickly visible in all equipped barns: calm, healthier cows that ruminate more… and above all, more milk in the tank. Another advantage is that this delimitation of spaces guarantees a perfect level of safety when blocking the animals in the event of intervention (insemination, care…). Finally, Sani’feed is easy to install and its cost is very affordable.
