Comfort to combat heat stress
During a heat episode, the cow's internal temperature rises.
When the cow lies down onAquastar, the heat she emits is transferred to the mattress (following the principle of thermal circulation from hot to cold). This lowers the cow's temperature.
When the cow gets up, the mattress has stored heat.
This time, the heat is transferred from the mattress to the environment.
In this way,Aquastar remains at room temperature, ready to house a new cow.
The Aquastar mattress provides 1 to 2 points of thermal stress reduction in ITH.
