Draining floor for healthier hooves
Magellan® 25 is a 25 mm thick draining rubber floor, designed for high-traffic areas such as alleys, holding areas, milking parlours and robot access zones.
His deep longitudinal grooves ensure efficient drainage, keeping hooves elevated from stagnant liquids. This design limits the amount of moisture on the ground, reducing the risk of foot disorders such as the digitis dermatitis (Mortellaro), the panaris, the cherries or the sole ulcers. It helps limit lameness and prevent premature reforms. Pebbles slide between the grooves, avoiding micro-injuries and protecting the sole of the foot.

The flexibility of natural rubber cushions every step, helping protect joints during frequent movement. Its anti-slip surface, shaped for hoof contact, improves footing and reduces slipping, even on wet floors.

- Cow hooves are naturally adapted to soft, yielding surfaces covered with vegetation.
- Hard concrete floors disrupt this natural function, leading to issues such as chronic inflammation of the distal phalanx, bone growths and sole ulcers.
- Magellan® flooring replicates the properties of natural ground with a soft, cushioning surface. It increases the contact area under the hoof, improving weight distribution and reducing pressure points responsible for internal hoof damage.
