Bioret Agri
Feeding step
At Bioret Agri, we know that proper feed intake is the foundation of dairy performance.
A cow that eats calmly and regularly produces better and more sustainably.
To protect cows’ legs and hooves, we develop non-slip, draining floors that keep feet clean and dry. This level of hygiene is essential to limit hoof disorders and helps reduce ammonia emissions inside the building.
However, to remain effective, these floors require very frequent scraping, every 90 to 120 minutes, in line with regulations in several European countries.
A necessary process… yet one that disturbs cows while they are feeding.
Each scraper pass interrupts feeding: impacts on the hind legs, stress, and increased social pressure between dominant and subordinate cows. The feeding cycle becomes fragmented, which can negatively affect feed intake.
The Feeding step plays a key role.
Positioned at the headlock level, it protects the feeding area, limits the impact of the scraper, and maintains continuous intake, while keeping the floors clean and dry in the rest of the building.

ZEN'EAT®
The benefits of Zen’Eat® for dairy farming
How does Zen’Eat® work?
Zen’Eat® is based on a simple idea: providing cows with a feeding space where they feel protected and calm. It combines:
A raised feeding step with a rear slope: this elevation separates the feeding area from the traffic alley, prevents the scraper from passing through, and naturally channels liquids back into the alley.
DiviZen flexible dividers: flexible yet durable, they clearly define each cow’s space while preventing injuries. Their shape and positioning encourage proper feeding posture and help direct manure toward the rear.
By respecting cows’ natural feeding rhythm, Zen’Eat® reduces defensive behaviours, unnecessary movement, and sources of stress. Each cow can then consume her ration continuously, supporting better feed balance and a calmer atmosphere in the barn.
Impact on herd performance
Implementing Zen’Eat® in a livestock building has a direct impact on herd productivity and health:
Increased feeding time: longer, more regular meals support better rumen balance and optimal digestion.
Improved milk production: a well-filled rumen and a relaxed cow translate into a measurable increase in milk yield.
Reduced feed losses: better access to the ration limits waste and improves forage utilization.
A calmer barn environment: less pushing, lower stress levels, and a more balanced social hierarchy.
Improved health: fewer injuries caused by impacts and pushing, better body condition, and reduced digestive disorders.
By creating optimal feeding conditions, Zen’Eat® acts as a sustainable lever to improve overall herd performance, while supporting animal welfare and farm profitability.
