Designed around practical field constraints
Presented at the Paris International Agricultural Show, Milk’in Box is a new concept developed by Bioret Agri and Agriconfor Solutions. The project is based on a converted container that brings together the key functions required for dairy cow housing.
The concept includes six dairy cow cubicles and integrates several essential systems: ventilation, manual milking, milk storage and energy supply through solar panels. The aim is to offer a more autonomous, compact and easy-to-deploy solution for areas where setting up dairy production can be challenging.
In some regions, agricultural infrastructure requires significant investment. Access to energy, buildings or technical equipment can also slow down the development of local dairy production. Milk’in Box offers a more flexible and accessible approach by bringing the core requirements of a dairy unit together in one functional structure.
The project also includes Bioret Agri bedding solutions, in particular Aquastar waterbeds. The interior layout makes optimal use of the available space, supports cow movement and simplifies the organisation of technical equipment within a reduced footprint.
A concept in development
Milk’in Box is currently at the concept stage. However, its first presentation in Paris generated many discussions with visitors interested in discovering this new approach to dairy production.
These discussions focused in particular on autonomy, flexibility and the ability of the concept to adapt to real field conditions. This feedback is helping to guide the next steps in the project and explore its future use cases.
