Equipment chosen to meet the farm’s needs
In Maxville, Ontario, Stryde Farms is a third-generation family farm milking 95 cows, with a poultry operation and a calf-rearing unit. When designing their new barn, the farmers visited a wide range of farms and compared different solutions. They wanted equipment that would meet their expectations in terms of animal comfort and everyday efficiency.
They chose several Bioret Agri solutions: Magellan 25 flooring in the holding area Delta Diam 16 in the milking parlour, and Aquastar mattresses in the stalls.
Comfort, cleanliness and time savings every day
The flooring installed in the cow traffic areas provides a comfortable, secure surface for the cows, while also making the facilities easier to clean. This was especially important for the farmers, who have seen a real time saving in their daily routine.
“Saving 5 to 10 minutes every day makes a real difference over time.”
Stryde Farms also reports good hock condition and a slip-and-fall rate below the industry average. Together, the walkway flooring and resting mattresses help support animal safety, comfort and wellbeing.
