Modernization of the cubicles
Located in Luxemburg, Wisconsin (United States), Gaedtkes Rolling Hills Dairy is a fifth-generation family-owned dairy farm with approximately 1,530 milking cows. As part of the modernization of its facilities, the farm decided to replace its old sand-based systems with Elista mattress.
Sustainable performance and a long-term investment
Initial observations quickly confirmed the benefits of this change. The cows lie down more easily in the stalls, position themselves correctly, and get back up with greater ease. Beyond comfort, the farm observed an increase in milk production of approximately 1.5 liters per cow per day in the equipped pens, with results that have been sustained over time.
The farmer also highlights the durability of Elista mattresses. Their design effectively protects the foam from bedding and feed spills thanks to the reinforced rubber coating, helping to maintain the product’s performance for many years.
